The pacifiers are very hygienic because they are molded in one piece. This means, that there are no joints or cracks where dirt and bacteria can accumulate. The shield of 'Natursutten' is larger than conventional shields, this prevents babies from squeezing the flexible material enough to get it into their mouth. Natursutten also follows the natural mouth movements of the baby and does not leave marks on the baby’s face.

Because of their natural quality, it is recommended that Natursutten pacifiers be replaced every 4 to 5 weeks or as needed. They should be boiled in water for 2 minutes before using for the first time. Afterwards they should be scalded on a daily basis, but not in the dishwasher. The pacifiers will slightly change color during use.
